This sans-serif type family possesses many particular details in its individual letterforms, but still manages to keep a discreet voice when set. This balance makes Beret suitable for many applications. The (optically corrected) obliques work amazingly well for emphasis in text, thanks to the subtly bent terminations and subtle modulation in the typeface.

Beret was awarded the honorable mention in the 4th International Type Design Contest held by Linotype in 2003.
